My mandala collection began with inspiration from Tibetan Buddhist Thanka paintings and the traditional motifs used to decorate Buddhist temples, particularly in Sri Lankan temples during my time living there. My starting point was lots of drawing and variations of the combinations and designs and sizes. I then handmade my favourites using individual pieces of wire, soldering every joint. Once it was perfected I had the piece cast, making it stronger and less labour intensive, also allowing me to have exact copies. I then cut this mandala up to make new different pieces such as this necklace. With the raw casting I have to file, polish and finish the piece before tumbling it to get the subtle matt finish. Each piece is inspected carefully by me to ensure a fine finish with no casting marks or flaws. They are all stamped with my unique hallmark, SB and metal purity.
The listing is for this exact piece, which is already finished and ready to ship.
I will have the item packaged and in the post with 2 days depending on my schedule and any adjustments or customisations.
I post items using Australia post, which usually takes from 2-5 days within Australia. I am still researching the best shipping method for overseas as Australia post can take 2-6 weeks to arrive internationally. Couriers can be very expensive so I am looking for the best options. I will be in touch to give you details of your package tracking details and estimates of delivery times. Let me know if you want signature on delivery, insurance or express post.
