Symbolism of the Lotus Flower
The Lotus Flower features in many of my designs.
This design came about during my time living in Sri Lanka, where the Lotus flower is the national flower and can be seen everywhere. It is especially seen in Buddhist temple decorations and during Buddhist festivals.
I love the symbolic meaning of the Lotus flower - that beauty can grow from the muddiest of waters.
It also symbolises purity, enlightenment and rebirth.
